Fundacion Triunfadora gives talk for PROMAROSA in Santa Rosa and Chanduy

On Wednesday, 17th August, Fundacion Triunfadora gave a talk to the 50+ employees of Promarosa, a seafood production company, in Santa Rosa, Salinas.

The purpose of the talk was to educate the employees about domestic violence - in particular in response to a recent femicide of a fellow employee. They learned about facts and figures of domestic violence in Ecuador, what to do (and not do) if they, or someone they know, experiences aggression in the home, and when to call the police. Stephanie Fyock, president of the foundation gave the talk and was assisted by our treasurer, Roberto Cruz, and police officer, Corporal Marcos Valenzuela.

The employees were extremely engaged, asked lots of questions, and were grateful for the visit by the foundation. All in all, another successful, informative, and important talk by Fundacion Triunfadora for another community in Santa Elena.

The next talk is scheduled for 24/08 at the Promarosa branch in Chanduy.

Virtual Forum with the Cantonal Council for the Integral Protection of Rights of Santa Elena

On Wednesday, March the 23rd, Fundación Triunfadora was invited to deliver a virtual workshop for the women of Santa Elena in honor of Women's Month.

The workshop was titled “Sorority: A Tool to Confront Domestic Violence” and was facilitated by Stephanie Fyock. 45 attendees learned strategies to help friends, family, neighbors and acquaintances who may be experiencing domestic violence.

President of Fundacion Triunfadora Receives Recognition from Ecuadorian National Police

On November 25th, 2021, the President of Fundacion Triunfadora was recognized by the Ecuadorian National Police for her collaboration with the National Department of Investigation Against Gender Violence in violence prevention education efforts. Stephanie Fyock and other members of the Fundacion Triunfadora committee worked alongside the police to facilitate workshops on violence prevention, laws and human rights in various communities through out the province of Santa Elena during the year of 2021.
