WHAT
WE DO

Our organization is focused on the prevention of domestic violence and the promotion of social, emotional, and economic empowerment of women in the province of Santa Elena in Ecuador. The foundation aims to achieve this through community education, emergency services for survivors, and programs aiming toward economic freedom.

EDUCATION
Our goal is to prevent the propagation of domestic violence through education and raising community awareness. Our message is clear: we want everyone in our community to know about the impacts and consequences of domestic violence, which services are available to survivors, legal rights, and how to help a friend or neighbor who may be a survivor of domestic violence. We do this by joining with other community organizations, including non-profits and law enforcement, to provide far-reaching educational interventions in our area. We know that domestic violence does not discriminate and can affect all communities and social strata. This is why we use as many mediums as possible to get our message across: workshops, social media campaigns, radio campaigns, videos, etc.

EMERGENCY SERVICES
We work to prevent new cases of domestic violence through community education. In the case of survivors who need to flee a dangerous situation, we provide temporary shelter and accompaniment. We offer services to survivors of domestic violence and support other existing service providers in the network. The needs of each survivor are unique, so always carry out an evaluation before offering services such as temporary shelter with one of our trusted providers, food, child care, transportation, legal assistance, accompaniment, and referrals to other providers in our area.

PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT
We know that survivors of domestic violence often have to start a new life from scratch, have been survivors of financial abuse, or are unprepared to support themselves or their homes. That is why we work to create Economic Empowerment programs for people at risk and survivors. We help survivors find employment to establish their independence and autonomy.
